Bakelite Delight Custom Knife

Broadwell’s inventiveness found a 1930’s Bakelite box, and from it he fashioned this wonderful Art Deco handle, of olive green, for his third Art Deco knife. Bakelite was the first plastic made from synthetics. It was all the rage for thousands of products in the 30s, including household small appliances, because it did not conduct electricity nor heat. Today, Art Deco Jewelry of Bakelite is very collectable. Marked 01-3.
