The Scream Custom Knife
|
Knifemaker* :
D Noel Smith
Description* :
In 1893 world renowned painter, Edvard Munch painted an outrageously controversial picture titled THE SCREAM. The painting was recently stolen from the Oslo Museum and the intention was to ransom it for 20 million dollars, but the piece was traced down and recovered, then returned to the museum. It has been viewed in awe by millions in advertising and media exposure. D Noel Smith carved the handle depicting 20 of Munch’s screamers. 12 bas relief screamers encircle the guard in sterling silver. He also carved and cast the pommel and guard in screamers, using the lost wax process to form the screaming faces. Result___a very scary art knife like no other in the world. The execution of each face is superbly done. Two pair of ear plugs come with the knife.
